Ohunyeye, An Ondo Guber Candidate, Pauses His Political Endeavors In Mourning For Akintelure
A frontline governorship candidate on the platform of All Progressive Congress, in Ondo state, Dr Olamide Ohunyeye, has described the late Dr Paul Akintelure, as an astute politician and illustrious son of the state.
Ohunyeye, said that he has suspended all his political activities and those of his campaign organisation to mourn and honour a co-aspirant and a senior brother who suddenly died in Lagos.
In a statement he personally signed, Ohunyeye, said that among the political engagements that will be put on hold are a scheduled media parley and a tour of some wards in the state.
He said that “I received the sad news of the sudden demise of an astute political leader and an illustrious son of Ondo State, Dr. Paul Akintelure, this with disbelief, a rude shock, and a heavy heart.”
“Indeed, Dr. Akintelure was a perfect gentleman without blemish, both as a political icon and a foremost medical practitioner.”
” In his lifetime, Dr. Akintelure demonstrated uncommon determination and resilience towards the development of Ondo State and its people.
” He will surely be remembered for his immense contributions to the development of Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
“With a heavy heart, I solemnly commiserate with the family, friends, and associates and the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on the exit of this irreplaceable and impactful leader, Egbon Paul Akintelure.
Ohunyeye prayed that the Almighty God grants him eternal rest and has mercy on his soul.”
