The Future is Bright With You, Adeleke Urges Youths

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has challenged youths across the country to thread the path of prosperity to create a brighter future for the country.
He stresses that the youth of every society is its future, hence, the need to buckle up, and stand to challenges confronting society now to chat a better future.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a capacity enhancement programme organised for youth in Osun State by the School of Politics, Policy and Governance, SPPG, tagged; Youths Project Spark in Osogbo at the weekend, the Governor said empowering the youth should not just be a phrase but a lifeline for the future.
Adeleke who was represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Cooperative and Empowerment, Bayo Ogungbangbe adds, “The youth of every society is its hope for the future. Prepare yourself adequately to give your generation a better future and a country with abundant opportunities for all.
“This capacity-building training is necessary to give you all the necessary skills to take full advantage of opportunities that could be available at any point in time. I call upon the youth of Osun State to seize these opportunities with both hands, improve their skills, be innovative, and remain resilient. The future is bright, and with your active participation, we can build a prosperous Osun State together”.
Earlier in her welcome address, SPPG’s project lead, Olufunmi Olaosun said the project aims to prepare youths with the necessary skills to lead a quality life, saying, “The goal is that at the end of the training, they would have the skills to equip them in their workplaces to get jobs and also to start business and one of our goals is to give grants to our top students”.
Also, the Chairman, Osun House of Assembly Committee on Information and Communication Technology, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi charged the federal government to as a matter of urgency rejig the nation’s academic curriculum to reflect present realities.
“Going to school should not be about a certificate alone, what is the essence of a certificate when you can’t even be trained and employed with it”.
