Gov Idris Inaugurates Two Committees To Ease Business, Investment In Kebbi

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has inaugurated Ease of Doing Business Council and the State Action Committee on Framework for Responsible and Inclusive Land Intensive Agricultural Investment, (FRILIA).

Both the 14 member Business Council and the 12 member Action Committee are chaired by the Governor.

At the inauguration ceremony in Birnin Kebbi this Thursday, Comrade Nasir Idris, described the two committees as critical investment institutions to accelerate the economic development of Kebbi State.

“We are moving forward to make Kebbi a favoured destination for business and investment, we have prioritised the implementation of reforms to ease business activities”,

“Nigeria’s economy is at a critical juncture, as leaders we must provide new plan for the economic growth of our people”, Comrade Nasir Idris emphasised.

He added that, “the government has created framework for land acquisition and resettlement of landscale agricultural investments”,

“Kebbi is participating in the State Action on Business Enabling Reform, (SABA), On December 7, 2023, I signed an Executive Order ’04 2023′ tailored to put every framework and necessary structure in place, to boost agricultural and economic investments in the state”.

The Governor directed members of the two committees to ensure that all business investments were consistent with FRILIA principles and international business practices.

A member of the Committee, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Abba Sani Kalgo, commended Governor Nasir Idris for making Kebbi State an attractive investment destination.

“Kauran Gwandu has rekindled renewed hope for a better future of the state”,

“Kebbi State has been ranked 4th on ease of doing business, with the action of the Governor on ground, it is indicative that Kebbi is heading for the apex position”, he remarked.

The Secretary of the Committee, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Hajiya Aisha Usman Kalgo, affirmed the commitment of all members to live up to expectations and attain the target objective.

Among the important personalities at the occasion were the State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, Head of Service, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba, Commissioners, Permanent secretaries and Special Advisers.
