Police Shoot Tear Gas At #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protesters In Kano

Nigerian police fired tear gas on Thursday to break up several hundred protesters rallying against the cost of living in the northern city of Kano, an AFP correspondent at the scene said.

Many of the protestors were forced back by police using tear gas as they attempted to set bonfires outside the governor’s office in Kano, according to an AFP correspondent. Along with Lagos, the capital Abuja was also hosting protests.
