Over 27,000 Flood Victims in Shanga LGA Receive Food Aid From Kebbi State Government

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has distributed food items to 27,304 victims of recent flooding in Shanga Local Government Area (LGA).

Speaking at the distribution ceremony held in Dugu village, Shanga LGA, on Tuesday, the governor emphasized that the initiative was aimed at alleviating the suffering of those affected by the disaster.

“The flood is an act of God, and we must accept it as destiny. My administration will do everything within its power to support you during this difficult time,” Governor Idris said.

The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Zayyanu Abdullahi, expressed his gratitude to the governor, highlighting the governor’s consistent support for the people of Yauri Emirate.

“Your Excellency, you have always been there for my people in times of need. You make them feel valued and included. May Almighty Allah guide and protect you,” the Emir prayed.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Shanga LGA, Abdullahi Abdullahi Mai Anguwa, praised the governor’s leadership, stating that his administration touches lives in meaningful ways.

The Chairman of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Hon. Bello Yakubu , Rilisco, also lauded the governor’s commitment to the welfare of the less privileged.

“We now have a governor who truly cares for the masses, and we fully support your administration’s policies and programs,” Rilisco affirmed.

The food aid included bags of maize, millet, and rice.
