Adamawa State Governor Commissions Remodeled Taraba State House Of Assembly Complex
The newly reconstructed and modernized Taraba State House of Assembly Complex marks yet another significant achievement for the dedicated Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas.
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas proudly joined his counterpart from Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, to officially commission the Taraba State House of Assembly complex in Jalingo.
During the commissioning ceremony, Governor Fintiri expressed his admiration for Governor Kefas’s vision and commitment to providing a dignified working space for legislators to fulfill their constitutional responsibilities. He emphasized, “For democracy to thrive, powers must not only be separated, but each branch must uphold the sanctity of one another. This modern facility embodies that respect.”
Reflecting on past achievements, he noted, “The last time I visited, we inaugurated the remodeled government house. Now, Governor Kefas has balanced that with a state-of-the-art environment for our Legislators.”
Governor Fintiri commended Dr. Agbu Kefas for embedding the culture of development in Taraba State.
In his remarks at the occasion, the speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, stated that since the Complex was constructed in 1994, it has lost its beauty over the years. He noted that it was Governor Agbu Kefas who recognized the need to reconstruct and remodel the Complex, providing the legislators with a modern working environment. Additionally, he mentioned that Dr. Agbu Kefas has ensured that the legislators participate in training and other activities.
Congratulations to Governor Agbu Kefas on this remarkable achievement!.
