AFCON 2023: Fans Lament The Hosts’ Group Stage Performance, Declaring “Cote d’Ivoire Is Finished

Equatorial Guinea’s 4-0 elimination of the Ivorians from the AFCON left them stunned on Monday.

When the Guineans defeated the Ivorians 1-0 in their second match against the Super Eagles, despite a strong resistance from the hosts, the Ivorians were devastated.

The Ivorians wept openly with one of their fans shouting, “La Cote d’Ivoire est fine! which means Cote d’Ivoire is finished. With her little baby, Konate Aistan wept openly.
