The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday, urged residents to vote for him to end the alleged pains inflicted on the state by the incumbent government of the Peoples Democratic Party led by Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Okpebholo said if voted to power, the government’s presence would be felt across the state, remarking that he would be governor for all of Edo State and not just Edo Central.

The APC candidate spoke during his ward-to-ward campaign in Iguobazuwa, Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.

He said, “If I become the governor, I will not be governor of Edo Central but governor for all Edo people and the government’s presence will be felt across the state.

“I assure you all that our government will end all the pains that have been inflicted on the people of Edo State,” he assured.

Okpebholo’s running mate, Dennis Idahosa, appealed to the people of Ovia to support the APC, noting that the other political leaders in Ovia had joined the APC.

Also speaking, a former House of Representatives member, Omosede Igbinedion, urged the people of Ovia South West to vote for the APC on September 21.

She said, “I am now with my brother Dennis Idahosa in the APC; so make sure you vote for the APC on September 21 to deliver Okpebholo as governor,” she stated.

At Ugbogui, ex-governor Adams Oshiomhole said, “I came to present our candidate to you people today, I know you people will come out and vote for the APC on September 21. You all know Dennis Idahosa and voted for him twice before, so this time you have to give them your votes again.”
