Marking the occasion of Democracy Day, June 12, 2024, Hon. Ezekiel Adaji, the leading contender for the Chairmanship seat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State and a prominent figure in Benue State politics, has urged citizens to embrace democracy as a way of life. In a statement released today, Adaji emphasized that democracy requires active participation, engagement, and dedication from all citizens.

Adaji stressed that democracy is built on the values of freedom, equality, and justice, and it is the responsibility of citizens to defend it against all threats. He also highlighted the importance of protecting the integrity of elections, the independence of the judiciary, and the freedom of the press.

The political leader encouraged citizens to listen to each other’s perspectives, embrace diversity, and find common ground. He envisioned a system that truly represents the will of the people, where every voice is heard and every vote counts.

“As we stand together at this critical juncture in our nation’s history, I want to remind you that “democracy is not just a system of government – it’s a way of life. It’s a promise that we make to each other, a commitment to uphold the values of freedom, equality, and justice.”

“Let us recommit ourselves to the principles of democracy. Let us celebrate our differences and foster a culture of inclusivity. Let us build a system that truly represents the will of the people, where every voice is heard and every vote counts.”

“Together, let us create a brighter future for ourselves and for future generations. A future where democracy is not just a word, but a way of life.”

“Happy Democracy Day!” – Hon. Ezekiel Adaji (FMHR) Ogaji K’Idoma, Leading Contender for PDP Chairmanship in Benue State.
