Construction Of Birnin Kebbi Township Roads, A Legacy Project – Gov Idris
Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has described the ongoing construction of township roads in Birnin Kebbi, the State Capital as ‘ ‘LEGACY’ project and pride of all Kebbi people .
The project, according to the Governor, is one that all the Kebbi people are proud of being Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State Capital and face of the State.
In a Press Statement signed by YAHAYA SARKI, Special Adviser (SA) to the Kebbi State Governor on Media and Publicity.
The Governor assured that his administration would extend similar developmental projects to the other Emirates of Yauri, Zuru and Argungu in consonance with the policy thrust of his administration.
The Governor stated this on Friday while inspecting the ongoing construction of Birnin Kebbi township roads at Gwadagaji area.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality and speed of the project ,commending the State Ministry of Works and the contractor handling the project.
On KoKo – Zuru road, Governor Idris , reiterated his concern over the deplorable condition of the road and expressed readiness of his administration to reconstruct the road with the permission of the Federal Government .
He said that adequate provision has been made for the roads construction in the budget.
The governor also announced that the state government will soon embark on the reconstruction of the central motor park in Birnin Kebbi and also the construction of new mega schools in the four Emirates of the state at the cost of N5 billion in collaboration with the State Universal Basic Education Board.
He emphasised that by the grace of God , people of Kebbi State will feel the impact of good governance within a period of two to three years.
Idris thanked the people of the state for their sustained love and fervent prayers at the period of litigattion against his election ,saying that his victories at borh the Tribunal and Appeal Court were a testimony that people of Kebbi State were with him all along.
‘ No amount of intrigue or intimidation against my government can succeed or deter me from providing succour and basic amenities to people of Kebbi State,” he assured.
