I don’t have any evidence against FCC Executive Chairman Mr. Kolo, As Witnesses testify against Him

The Former Human Resource Manager of Federal Character Commission FCC Mr. Haruna Kolo has confirmed to the House of Representatives committee Ad-hoc investigating mismanagement of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) and job racketeering by Ministries Departments and Agencies of government that he has no evidence against the chairman, Federal Character Commission FCC Mrs Muibat Farida Dankaka, over allegations of illegal recruitment by collecting monies from unsuspecting Nigerias and gross misconduct except verbal discussion.

Mr Kolo stated this while he was answering questions from lawmakers after the committee discovered a total sum of 75 million Naira lodge in 3 separate accounts under his name.

Mr. Kolo confessed to the committee that he had been collecting monies from Nigerians seeking for employment. When some members of the committee Hon Ahmed Babawo Jaha and Hon. Hussein Jalo among others further asked him to provide video evidence or Bank transaction receipt, he replied saying he had no such evidence.

Responding to the allegations, the Executive Chairman Hajiya Dankaka took the Holy Quran and swore that she knew noting about the allegations levelled against her by Mr. Haruna Kolo.

The chairman of the committee Hon Yusuf Gagdi promised to leave no stone unturned until the committee unravels the mystery and circumstances surrounding the allegations, adding that everyone would be treated fairly. He also noted that Mr Kolo aught to have been arrested for engaging in corruption.

Meanwhile, two witnesses Abdulmalik Isa Ahmed and Ali Mohammed Jalo who appeared before the committee on Tuesday confessed to have given Mr Haruna Kolo 1 Million Naira per slot before they were eventually given appointment letters at the Commission.

The Committee however established that following their testimonies it has been established that there was no monetary connection between the job applicants and the chairman of the commission.
