Easter: Chukwuma, Ozigbo Task Leaders On The Wellbeing Of The People
AS Nigerians join the entire world to celebrate Easter, the Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University Burundi, and a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Paul Chukwuma, has assured citizens of hope, assuring that the prevailing obstacles in the country will be surmounted.
In his Easter message, Chukwuma implored everyone to reflect on the significance of sacrifice and service to others and acknowledge the importance of resilience and perseverance which he described as the virtues essential for overcoming challenges.
He tasked leaders in politics to prioritize the welfare of the people above personal interests and work to uplift the marginalized and create opportunities for every Nigerian to thrive.
He said: “As we commemorate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, l urge you to acknowledge the importance of resilience and perseverance, virtues essential for overcoming the surmountable challenges facing our nation.
“Easter serves as a joyful conclusion to the Lenten season of prayer, fasting, and penitence. I pray that we see this period as one to renew hope and belief in our country. Let us draw inspiration from the message of Easter to unite as a people and strive toward a future where justice, equality, and prosperity prevail.
“I also implore everyone to reflect on the significance of sacrifice and service to others. As leaders in politics, let us prioritize the welfare of the people above personal interests and work tirelessly to uplift the marginalized and create opportunities for every Nigerian to thrive.”
Also delivering his Easter message, the governorship aspirant of the Labour Party for next year’s Anambra election, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo urged Nigerians to contribute to the growth of their families and communities with faith.
He said: “For us Ndi Anambra across Nigeria and other nations of the world, I congratulate you on this year’s Easter. I also enjoin you to imbibe the teachings of Jesus Christ and learn the lessons that Easter embodies – love and selfless sacrifice for one another.
“We should also remember that this is the season that demands men and women of goodwill, people with integrity in their words and actions, people that would exhibit their humane and sacrificial behaviour in all they do, especially those holding positions of trust on behalf of all of us.
