At a nightclub in Abuja’s Wuse Area, two suspected money racketeers were apprehended by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Abuja Zonal Command on Tuesday: Adigun Johnson, an OND graduate in public administration, and James Friday, an artisan.

The suspects were arrested with the sum of N3, 480,000.00 in their possession and three Point of Sale POS machines which they allegedly used to carry out their activities.

A statement by EFCC Spokesman Dele Oyewale, said the arrest followed surveillance and intelligence by operatives of the EFCC on currency abuse and mutilation.

Oyewale said that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
