First Bank Tees Off 2024 Golf Tournament in Kaduna

Kaduna, Nigeria – The Kaduna Golf Club is set to host the 2024 First Bank Golf Tournament, which tees off on November 30, 2024. The tournament, sponsored by First Bank of Nigeria, has attracted over 150 amateur golfers from across the country.

Speaking at a press conference, the Kaduna Golf Club Captain, Mr. Ken Okonkwo, expressed his excitement about the tournament. “We are thrilled to host this prestigious tournament, and we are grateful to First Bank for their continued support. We have a strong field of golfers, and we expect a highly competitive tournament.”

The Executive Director of First Bank, Idris Ado Ibrahim, represented the Managing Director at the press conference. He emphasized the bank’s commitment to promoting sports development in Nigeria. “First Bank has a long history of supporting sports in Nigeria, and we are proud to be sponsoring this tournament. We believe that sports have the power to unite people and promote national development.”

The tournament will feature several categories, including men’s and ladies’ categories, as well as veteran and super veteran categories. Auxiliary prizes will also be awarded for longest drive and nearest to the pin.

According to Idris Ado Ibrahim, the tournament is expected to attract a diverse range of participants, including traditional rulers, business leaders, and sports enthusiasts. “We expect this tournament to be a celebration of golf and sportsmanship, and we are excited to be a part of it.”
