Following Rihanna’s Admission Of Indecency, Fans Disparage Tiwa Savage
After social media went abuzz recently with pop star Rihanna’s ‘sexy nun’s’ attire, the songstress, Tiwa Savage continues trending with her surprising confession about indecency.
Could it be that the condemnations from fans for ridiculing Christianity paid off? Rihanna confessed during an interview that there were things she did wrong when she was younger like showing her nipples and pants.
Looking back, she said those were seriously wrong and she couldn’t believe she did that. While advising young girls not to attempt such, she added, “Right now, as an older woman with kids, I seriously regret being so indecent.” Wow!
Knowing how much Rihanna and her likes have taken nudity or indecent dressings to the highest levels both in their music videos and during events, that confession is heartwarming. Following her declaration, fans in Nigeria began calling out some of our celebrities asking them to learn lessons from Rihanna. Hopefully individuals in show biz and young girls who’ve taken some of these foreign uncultured entities as role models will change as well.
They dragged Tiwa Savage into the matter. Here is what Rhapsody Deviac had on its platform as one of the reactions of fans after listening to Rihanna’s admission. “We hope Tiwa Savage can learn from this coz she still dey behave like pikin.”
MC Ricky also wrote, “Mommy Tiwa, I say this from a place of love, you are a beautiful woman, you no need to prove it by showing pants and bra. You are an African queen whose body should be seen through decency. I rest my innocent case, good night Los Angeles.”
More reactions poured in. Vera Otini wrote, “Most of our celebrities in this generation think nudity is more appealing than decency and I’m wondering why? Plenty world class artists who are well respected, never appeared indecent yet, they were famous and wealthy.”
Mwape Mumba replied to Vera’s comment, “Because nudity attracts attention. And that’s the only way female artists gain recognition. If you are decent, you’ll be an underground artist.” Seriously? So how do the men in show biz reach stardom without baring their bodies? Franklin Mbamara wrote, “If Yemi Alade dey open body, she for dey blow pass all of them. But she’s decent and nobody dey promote her.”
Legit Profits, “Some won’t still learn, they always think it’s a rich lifestyle.” up
