Former Perm. Sec. Kebbi Government House, Aliyu Mustafa, Pass Away

A retired Permanent Secretary of the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Aliyu Mustafa Gwandu, is dead.
Alhaji Aliyu, who holds the traditional title of “Sarkin ‘Yan Sarkin Gwandu, passed away early morning this Saturday of a brief illness in Birnin Kebbi.
Hundreds of sympathisers and relations attended his funeral prayers in the ancient town of Gwandu including the Kebbi State Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, who represented Governor Nasir Idris.
Speaking to newsmen at the mourning venue in Gwandu, an elder brother to the deceased, Alhaji Al-Mustafa ABDULLAHI Bayero, Sarkin Yamman Dallijan, the District Head of Dallijan, said the late Permanent Secretary returned to his Creator at the age of 55.
“Aliyu left behind three wives and twenty-two children, we are saddened by his demise, but we take solace in GOD WHO DECREES the life and death of HIS servants, MAY ALLAH GRANTS him mercy “, the elder brother prayed.
In the same vein, former Speaker, Kebbi Assembly and immediate past Commissioner, Alhaji Hassan Muhammad Shalla, narrated that the people of Gwandu have lost a well blessed son.
“Alhaji Aliyu has been a beacon of benevolence, he was a political stalwart of immense proportion, MAY ALLAH forgives his shortcomings”, he said.
In his tribute, the incumbent House of Assembly member, Gwandu constituency, Hon. Atiku Bello Kurya, described the late Permanent Secretary as a philanthropist of repute in the area who has left a wide vacuum difficult to fill.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, led a team of Media Practitioners on a condolence visit to the family house in Gwandu.
