Ganduje Choose 6 Govs To Oversee APC Activities In Zones
Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has appointed a six-member governors’ panel to oversee party operations throughout the six geopolitical zones.
Inaugurating the committee yesterday in Abuja, Ganduje said the six governors had the mandate to initiate periodic interface between governors of the zones and the leadership of the party.
According to him, they are also to liaise with the party to commence immediate processes for genuine reconciliation of aggrieved party members in the zones.
To this end, Ganduje said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State will coordinate the party’s activities in the South-west zone, while Senator Hope Uzodinma of Imo State takes charge of the South East.
Similarly, the governor of Cross Rivers State, Bassey Otu would be in charge of South-South; Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, North Central; Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, North-East and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, North-West.
He said the committee would act as follows: “Mobilize governors of the zones to effectively and physically participate in party activities within and outside the zone,” and others.
