Gov Idris Approves N27.5 for Payment Of Tuition, Registration Fees For Law Students Of Kebbi State

Gov. Idris Approved N967.6bn For Payment Of Registration Fees to 20,908 Indigenous Students

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr.Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has approved the release of N27,500,000 (Twenty Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira for the immediate payment of Nigerian Law School tuition and registration fees for all the 38 Kebbi State indigenes in the institution.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Hon. Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Junaidu Bello Marshal and issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

According to the commissioner, the 28 Bar Part II students will receive the sum of N750,000 (Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira Only) each, while the Bar Part I students will get the sum of 650,000 (Six Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira Only) each respectively.

” His Excellency’s approval became necessary when the management of the Nigerian Law School increased the fees to N476,000 ( Four Hundred and Seventy Six Thousand Naira Only) for Bar Part II and N353,000 (Three Hundred and Fifty Three Thousand Naira Only) for Bar Part I,* he averred.

The students, through the Hon. Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr Junaidu Bello Marshall, thanked His Excellency for the kind gesture and assured the government of their resolve to be good ambassadors of the state.

They described the gesture of the governor as a fulfilment of his promise to providing quality education for all.

It will be recalled that the last time Kebbi State Government paid for the Nigerian Law School tuition and registration fees for the indigenes of the State was in 2017.
