Gov Idris Approves Release of N241,341,953 As Gratuity For Payment To 91 Retirees

Gov. Idris Approved N967.6bn For Payment Of Registration Fees to 20,908 Indigenous Students

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has granted approval for the release of N241,341,953.21k for payment as gratuity to 91 retired workers from November to December, 2023.

This is contained in a statement signed by the State Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi this Wednesday.

According to the statement, the 91 retirees were verified from the 96 beneficiaries submitted by the Kwaido-led Committee comprising payment for State, Local Government and payment of LGEA Gratuity/Death benefits.

The gesture is in fulfilment of the campaign promises of Governor Nasir to civil servants to ensure that the government does not owe any retired worker a single kobo of his/her entitlements.

Similarly ,approval has been granted by Comrade, Dr. Nasir Idris for the release of N34,662,964.80 for adjustment of disparity in pension for 2012/2013 retirees as recommended by a committee set up by the Governor to ascertain claims made by some aggrieved retirees.
