Gov. Idris Approves Renovation Of 100 Mosques

Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has approved the renovation and reconstruction of 100 Mosques throughout the state.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Islamic Affairs, Engr. Imrana Ibn Usman, shortly after inspecting the ongoing refurbishment of some Mosques in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
He was accompanied on the inspection visit by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Sarki.
According to Usman, 40 of the Mosques, for the five daily prayers, are located in Birnin Kebbi metropolis.
In the same vein, 60 others would be renovated in the remaining local government areas of the state, three in each local government.
The Special Adviser said the work would be completed by the end of this year.
Usman expressed satisfaction about the level of progress by the contractors handling the project in all the Jumu’ah Mosques visited in Birnin Kebbi.
He was delighted that Governor Idris gave 100 per cent approval to all the submissions made for the ongoing and upcoming projects.
“Kebbi has never have it so good in terms of support to all the religious faiths like under the incumbent administration of Kauran Gwandu”, he remarked.
He affirmed that the state government would not compromise standards in the execution of the projects in the state.
The Special Adviser called for sustained fervent prayers from the people for the success of the Governor and his administration.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Sarki, joyfully acknowledged the giant strides of Dr. Idris in all aspects of human endeavour, with emphasis on Religious Obligations.
Sarki added that the Governor’s indelible footprints were a tip of the iceberg, as the future beckons with brightness.
According to him, Comrade Nasir Idris has always upheld unwavering commitment to the entrenchment of piety and moral values in the society.
He recalled the Governor’s recent N50milion donation to the Tijjaniya movement during its International preaching session in Birnin Kebbi.
Sarki said the governor has also remained benevolent to Muslims and Christians during festivities like Eid celebrations and Christmas.
In separate remarks, Malam Abubakar Ladan, the caretaker of Emir of Gwandu Mosque and Almustapha Iliyasu Hakimin Shiyar Sarakuna, expressed appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for the rehabilitation and installation of modern facilities in the mosques.
Some of the mosques visited were, Rafin Atiku Jumu’ah Mosque, Masallacin Jakolo Jumu’ah Mosque, the Central Jumu’ah Mosque and the Emir of Gwandu Jumu’ah Mosque, Birnin Kebbi.
