Gov Idris Attends Wedding Fatiha Of Ex-commissioner Of Finance, Daughter

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State is among hundreds of people who attended the wedding fatiha of the daughter of former Commissioner of Finance, Kebbi State , Alhaji Ibrahim Augie .

The event which took place this Saturday at the palace of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, was also witnessed by the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Kebbi Deputy governor, Senator Abubakar Umar Tafida and other top government officials.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by YAHAYA SARKI, Special Adviser (SA) to Kebbi State Governor on Media and Publicity.

The wedding, between the bridegroom, Aliyu Ahmad and Aisha Ibrahim Augie, the bride, attracted the sum of N200,000 as the dowry paid by the bridegroom.

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Senator Bagudu served as the Waliy (Guardian) to the bride formally giving out her hand in marriage to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, who represented the groom, (Wakil).

The holy matrimony was solemnised in consonance with Islamic tenets based on the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet Muhammad, (SAW).
