Gov Idris Commissions New Zagga Central Mosque In Bagudo LGA

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has commissioned the newly constructed Zagga Central Mosque in Bagudo Local Government Area, marking the occasion with the inaugural Jumu’a prayers led by Imam Usman Sani.
The mosque’s construction began under Hon. Bello Dallatun Ka’oje, a member of the House of Representatives, and was completed by former Governor Sa’idu Dakingari. The current administration of Governor Nasir Idris has transformed the mosque into a modern worship center.
Speaking at the commissioning, Governor Idris expressed gratitude to God for the successful completion of the project and urged Muslims to uphold piety and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Hon. Bello Ka’oje, who provided background on the mosque’s development, praised Governor Idris for his role in ensuring the project benefits the people of Zagga and its surroundings.
In his sermon, Imam Usman Sani Zagga commended all three leaders for prioritizing religious values. He particularly lauded Governor Idris for initiatives such as the statewide Ramadan feeding program and other humanitarian efforts, drawing parallels with the practices of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Imam Usman encouraged Muslim traders to reduce prices during Ramadan, in line with Islamic teachings, and called on the faithful to engage in good deeds, including congregational Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers. He also offered prayers for national peace, prosperity, and the success of Governor Idris’ administration.
