Gov Idris Swears In Four High Court Judges, Two Khadis

The Kebbi State Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu has sworn in four new High Court Judges and two Khadis

The swearing ceremony was presided by Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Friday.

The Secretary to the State Government, SSG ,Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida presented the four Judges as Honorable Hassan Kwaido, Hon Halima Umar Ibrahim, Hon Lauratu Jagwadeji Suru and Hon Muhammad Nurudeen while the two Khadis were Hon Kabiru Aliyu, SAN and Atiku Muhammad Bello under the Sharia Court of Appeal.

In his short remarks at the ceremony, the elated Governor expressed happiness and congratulated the appointees.

He said it was a rare opportunity to have the privilege of swearing in the six judicial officers.

He commended the Ministry for Justice for being alive to its responsibilities while assuring that his administration will continue to uphold payment of salaries and welfare of Judges in the State.

“I am also commending the State Ministry of Justice for being alive to its responsibility; as far as this administration is concerned, we have never found you wanting”, he added.

The Governor announced that he has approved the payment of 300 million for the procumbent of official vehicles to Judges.

He advised the appointees to use their wealth of experience and maintain the ethics of the profession.

Commissioners, Special Advisers, Kebbi State Chief Judge, Justice Umar Abubakar, Chief Judge of Sokoto State, Justice Muhammad Sifawa, a Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Sadiq Abubakar Umar, and the Grand Qadi of Niger State,Abubakar Musa Kigera, witnessed the swearing-in ceremony.
