Governor Idris Gives Out Three Daughters In Holy Matrimony

Governor Nasir Idris this Friday gave out the hand in marriage of three daughters of his younger brothers, Alhaji Umar Idris Buro and Alhaji Shehu Idris.

The Holy matrimony was solemnised at the Makerar Gandu Jumuat Mosque Birnin Kebbi immediately after the Friday prayers led by the Chief Imam.

Governor Nasir Idris who stood in as the Waliy, (Guardian) to the three brides remarked:
“My name is Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, Gamjin Yauri, Garkuwan Zuru. I have accepted the requests of the representatives (Wakil) of the three suitors seeking for permission to join my daughters with the grooms in marriage on the payment of One Hundred Thousand Naira dowry for each bride”.

The couples are Alhaji Labaran Habibu Adamu Jega joined in wedlock with Nabila Umar Idris, Aisha Shehu Idris with her groom, Sanusi Aliyu Zagga and Abdullahi AbdulRahman Yahaya with his bride Nusaiba Shehu Idris.

Similarly, Governor Nasir Idris served as the Waliy to Hadiza Muhammad Bari whose marriage was solemnised with Faruk Abubakar on the payment of One hundred Thousand Naira dowry in accordance with the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet Muhammad, (SAW)

Islamic Scholars offered prayers beseeching the Almighty Allah to shower his blessings on the married couples and endow them with good offsprings.

The marriage was attended by politicians, top government functionaries, religious leaders, traditional rulers as well as hundreds of friends and well wishers .
