HON. TALBA BRINGS HOPE TO FLOOD VICTIMS: Donates Food, NFIs, and Cash to Nangere and Potiskum LGAs

In a heartwarming display of compassion and leadership, Hon. Fatsuma Talba, Member representing Nangere/Potiskum Federal Constituency, has donated a substantial amount of food, non-food items, and cash to support the plights of flood victims in Nangere and Potiskum Local Government Areas. This timely intervention is expected to bring succor to the affected communities, who have been struggling to cope with the devastating effects of the flood disaster.
The donation, aimed at complementing the existing government efforts, includes a wide range of essential items. Food items such as rice, pasta, grains, and vegetable oil were provided to alleviate the suffering of the victims. Specifically, 170 bags of rice, 80 cartons of pasta, 170 bags of grains, and 10 cartons of vegetable oil were donated to ensure that the affected families have access to nutritious food.
In addition to food items, Hon. Talba also donated non-food items (NFIs) to address the immediate needs of the victims. These include 170 blankets, 100 children’s wear, 170 mats, 80 women’s wrappers, and drugs. These essential items will help to restore dignity and provide comfort to the affected families, who have lost their belongings and livelihoods to the flood.
To further support the victims, Hon. Talba also provided 2 million Naira cash assistance, with 1 million Naira allocated to each LGA. This financial support will enable the victims to purchase essential items and rebuild their lives. The cash assistance is a testament to Hon. Talba’s commitment to empowering her constituents and supporting them in times of need.
