JIBWIS Donates Artificial Limbs To 291 Persons In North-West

The National chapter of the Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’a Wa Iqamatus-Sunnah (JIBWIS), has donated artifcial limbs to 291 persons from the North-Western States.
The limbs were presented to the elated beneficiaries at an epochal ceremony in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital on Friday.
No fewer than 117 of the lucky beneficiaries were from Kebbi while the rest were from the other North-Western States.
Speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Religious Affairs, Engineer Imran Ibn Usman said that the gesture was extended to the beneficiaries in collaboration with an NGO, Toleram Foundation.
He noted that all NGOs now prefer to conduct their activities in Kebbi State sequel to the humility and philantrophy of Gov. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu.
Ibn Usman recalled that the combined team of JIBWIS and the Toleram Foundation had two months ago visited the states where they took the samples of the beneficiaries.
He commended the Governor for his immense support to all religious acitivities as well as the success of the historic event.
The Kebbi State Chairman of JIBWIS, Sheikh Aliyu Ladda, extolled the tangible giant strides of the Kauran Gwandu within a short time .
According to him, the organization is proud to be associated with Dr Idris, saying that the gesture was part of the routine activities initiated by Dr Abdullahi Bala Lau to alleviate the suffering of orphans and other indigent Nigerians.
Sheikh Ladda disclosed plans by JIBWIS to establish a School of Health Technology in Kebbi State, among other ongoing projects.
The leader of the JIBWIS team, incharge of Orphans Committee, Mallam Abdullahi A.B.Diggi who is the Deputy Director Finance of National Hajj Commission, NAHCON told the governor that since the project started three years ago , over nine thousand artificial limbs were donated free of charge by JIBWIS as part of its humanitarian activities to the less privileged in the society .
‘ This year 2024, 291 persons from the North-Western States benefitted and out that number 117 beneficiaries are from Kebbi State ‘ he averred.
He also commended Dr. Idris for his tremendous hospitlaity to them, saying that the people of the state were lucky to have him as a Governor.
Responding, Dr. Idris commended JIBWIS for extending its widow’s mite to the beneficiaries, noting their glaring happiness.
He acknowledged Lau’s untiring efforts to alleviate the suffering of orphans and other vulnerable members of the Muslim Ummah.
The Governor promised to seek for more slots of the gesture from Lau as requested by the state chapter to enable more people from the state to benefit from the noble act.
Dr. Idris vowed,”I will continue to do everything humanly possible to ensure the growth and development of Islam as well as make life easier for the people of fhe state.”
