Kebbi Has Peace Loving Governor – Budget Minister Bagudu

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, has commended Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, for handling the nationwide protest in the most peaceful manner that kept the state in absolute tranquility.

“Last week when the nation was challenged, Governor Nasir Idris provided leadership to keep Kebbi stable and extended support elsewhere, we sincerely thank him”, Bagudu said.

The Minister made the remark in Birnin Kebb on Saturday during a visit to Governor Idris after paying sympathy visit to areas affected by flooding in the state.

“We are seeing the commendable work he is doing in the development of the state”,

“I am not surprised the opposition withdrew from the contest of Local Government Elections, with the monumental record of achievement on ground, I wonder how they are going to campaign or with what issue they would campaign on”,

“I have always made emphasis that at state level, the Governor is the leader of our party, the APC, while at the Federal level, the President is the leader of the party”,

“Kebbi people love peace, they have peace loving Governor, a hardworking personality, magnanimous and tolerant, I am very proud of his achievement “, the Minister added.

“I am here on sympathy visit to my brother in Kebbi on the flooding that affected some communities, I visited Sabla, Zabdo in Bayawa and also Kampani which has relocated as a result of the flood, in Augie and Argungu local government areas”,

“They showed deep appreciation for the prompt response by Governor Nasir Idris to mitigate the disaster and offered support, I am extending my appreciation to him for his kind gesture”, Bagudu explained.

On his part, Governor Nasir Idris thanked Sen. Bagudu whom he described as a brother for visiting Kebbi to sympathise with the flood victims.

“The Minister is at the Government House also to strengthen how best to consolidate on our unity, to work together for the betterment of the good people of Kebbi “,

“We thank him for the cooperation he has given us, we have no regret for sending him to Abuja to represent us”,

“We know his track record, I know the kind of showers of blessings I have received on his behalf, we thank Sen. Bagudu for giving us excellent representation”,

“Traditional rulers in the flood affected areas have made phone calls to me to thank him for his empathy and benevolence”, Governor Kaura remarked.
