Kebbi State To Sustain Partnership With Roche Pharmaceuticals, Johnson And Johnson Innovative Medicine
The Kebbi State Government is to sustain partnership with two Pharmaceutical companies on health related matters.
The companies are Roche Pharmaceuticals as well as Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine.
Governor Nasir affirmed this while receiving management team of the two companies who visited him at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, this Thursday.
Comrade Nasir Idris remarked that he was aware of the activities of the two companies in improving the health indices of Kebbi State with partnership started by the immediate past administration.
He acknowledged that the wife of the former Governor, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu has made an impact in creating awareness and treatment of cancer related issues.
Gov. Idris informed his guests that his administration was committed to the provision of quality health care services which made him to include healthcare among his five-point Agenda.
The Governor mandated the Commissioner for Health to hold consultations with the management of the two Pharmaceutical companies on charting the best course of action to accelerate the performance of the partnership.
Speaking separately, the General Manager of Roche Pharmaceuticals , Dr. Ladi Hameed told Governor Nasir Idris that the company has been in Kebbi State to provide support and awareness to health matters under a partnership entered into with the previous administration.
Dr. Ladi said they were at the Government House to renew commitment to the improvement of health care and the continuation of the partnership between Roche and Kebbi State Government.

In similar remark, the Managing Director of Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Mr. Ikewchukwu Ifuwana explained that his company has been working with Kebbi State Ministry of Health on health issues, describing the State as a fantastic partner.
Mr. Ikechukwu Ifuwana said from 2021 to date, since the company entered into partnership with Kebbi State, it has diagnosed patients with prostate cancer, treated women in various stages of breast cancer as well trained laboratory staff on diagnostic health.
Highlights of the visit were demonstration of video clips of the activities of the Roche Pharmaceuticals and Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine in Kebbi State.
