Man Killed in Ogun by Co-Tenant After Having An Affair With Wife

Anambra Police Take Responsibility For Escape Of Murder Suspects

After confronting Emmanuel, a co-tenant, about an alleged affair with his wife, Philip Fiama, a shuttle bus driver in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, was fatally stabbed.

It was reported that the incident happened at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Fiama was said to have called Emmanuel, his Ogun co-tenant, aside and asked why he had been sleeping with his wife.

This was said to have led to a fight during which Emmanuel stabbed the deceased to death.

Fiama was said to have died while being taken to hospital, and the prime suspect fled.

Police

The spokesperson of Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Friday.

Odutola said: “The incident happened on Sunday, January 7.

“A landlord from Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwo, at around 8 p.m. on that day came to report.

He said one Philip Fiama, a tenant accused Ikem Chika Emmanuel, another tenant, of having sexual intercourse with his wife.

“This was reported to have led to a fight. During the fight, Emmanuel stabbed Fiama in the chest. The deceased was said to have been confirmed dead in one hospital.

“The culprit escaped and is now somewhere unknown. However, the case has been moved for a covert investigation to the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta’s State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

“The Police are tracking the evading suspect as well.”
