My Administration Will Execute More Projects In Your Domain, Gov. Idris Assures Argungu Monarch

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has assured the Emir of Argungu of the execution of more development projects in his domain in line with the development policy of incumbent administration throughout the State.

The Governor gave the assurance at the inauguration of Argungu Local Government Zabarmawa Development Association, ZADA, in Argungu, this Saturday.

Governor Idris informed the Monarch that the State Executive Council has already approved a number of projects in Argungu Emirate at its weekly meeting.

‘ I want to assure the Emir that the State Government will soon start construction of more roads in Argungu as well as the implementation of developmental programmes already ratified by the Executive Council ‘, he said.

Governor Nasir affirmed that his administration would sustain the construction of more roads, provision of electricity, water supply and other basic amenities to all communities statewide.

He congratulated the new Executive Members of the Argungu chapter of Zabarmawa Development Association, expressing happiness about the peaceful co-existence between the Zabarma and other ethnic groups in the Area.

He said ‘ Iam extremely happy that Zabarmawa are living in peace with other ethnic groups in Argungu, this is a sign of good leadership by the Emir.

‘ I am Bazabarme, I am one of them but bred by the Fulani’, he said.

The Governor was emphatic that his administration would be fair and just to all ethnic groups, irrespective of political inclination in uplifting their living condition.

He pledged to look into the challenges outlined by the association’s State chairman Alhaji Musa Abubakar Argungu facing the inhabitants, such as electricity and healthcare facilities.

‘ Recently we have purchased and distributed 40 new transformers to communities free, and I have ordered for more.

‘ Provision of Healthcare is one of our top priority, I will direct the Commissioner for Health and that for Local Government to address the issue ‘ he assured.

Earlier , Alhaji Musa Abdullahi,the State Chairman of ZADA thanked the governor for his physical presence at the inauguration of Argungu Local Government officials of the association.

Abdullahi explained that the association was established to promote unity of Zabarma community, promote peace amongst different ethnic groups as well support educational development of children.

Highlights of the event include brief narration of the history of Zabarmawa by Alhaji Ibrahim Yakubu Bagaye, presentation of award to Governor Nasir Idris, who is the grand Patron of ZADA, his brother, Alhaji Shehu Idris,Buro and the SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida.

Governor Nasir Idris donated Twenty Million Naira to the association for the publication of its book into English and French languages
