My Administration Will Not Be Distracted By Unnecessary Criticisms, Says Gov. Idris
Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, says his administration will continue to focus on executing myriad of meaningful developmental projects to people and would not be distracted by unnecessary criticisms from detractors.
The Governor spoke on Tuesday at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, when he received the Kauran Gwandu Coordinators who visited him.
He said, “Our detractors have thouhgt that we will fail and that we will not deliver the desired projects.
“But we have so far shamed them by trying our possible best in the provision of the basic infrastructural needs of the people of the State.
“We will in sha Allahu, sustain this happy trajectory and we will continue to carry the people while administering the state.”
He made it clear that the state government was not owing any salary, pensions, gratuities or death benefits.
He added that the state government was committed to the execution of quality and durable projects, saying, ”not shoddy jobs that will last only one or two years.”
The governor announced that work on the Secretariat complex awarded by his administration was nearing completion that would streamline the activities of the government and enhance the efficiency of MDAs.
Dr. Idris commended the members of the group for their invaluable contributions to the emergence of his administration as well as the success of goverment’s policies and programmes.
“We have since appointed eleven of you as Commissioners, Special Advisers and Board members and they are doing fine.
“Therefore, all the remaining ten members will be appointed as SSAs to uplift their condition of living and enable them to assist others ,”the governor promised.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the group, Alhaji Musa Muhammad Tungulawa who is also the Commissioner for Environment extolled the giant developmental strides so far recorded by the state government.
Tungulawa noted that a lot has been achieved by the Kauran Gwandu-led administration across the state.
“We are also here to rejoice with the governor on the series of victories at the courts as regards the 2023 polls,” he added.
