My Govt Will End Kidnappings, Other Ills In Taraba – Kefas

The Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Lt Col Agbu Kefas (rtd) has said that security remains the number one job of government. He noted that he and his team have the blue print to secure the state and save it from bandits and other criminals.

Kefas, who spoke to supporters in Jalingo, stressed that security is an area that concerns every one in the state. He said it takes collective efforts to end criminality.

The ex military officer said his experience in the Niger Delta has taught him the need for peace and unity in a community. He said, ” dealing with Niger Delta militants opened me to plenty challenges that have prepared me for the security challenges in our state. Bad gangs are the same almost everywhere and it takes the same wisdom, intelligence gathering and proper execution to deal with the problem. I’m well grounded in all of that”.

Consequently, he added, he would work with the traditional leadership of the state and other civil bodies for proper monitoring of their areas. He said proper funding of the police and other security agencies is key to a robust plan on safer communities.

Taraba state recently have been in the news for increase in the spate of criminal activities especially kidnappings.
