Oyedeji said, “We are here to see the prgress made, see the challenges and chart the way forward.

“We want to come up with a workable database in this direction and do the needful to improve the functions of the funds..

“We will partner with the states to support them especially the most active states like Kebbi.”

Oyedeji called on the state government to share with the committee the challenges being faced by Kebbi on ecology and utilisation of the ecological funds.

He also expressed satisfaction about the utilisation of the fund on recommended projects by the Kebbi State Government among benefitting communities.

Earlier at a courtesy call, the SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida who represented the governor said Kebbi State Government has been up and doing in the implementation of projects under the mandate of the fund, but would require additional intervention to expand the horizon of the programme.
