NRM Guber Candidate In Kogi, Com Dirisu Condoles Atta Igala Over Passing Of Elder Brother
The Gubernatorial Candidate of National Rescue Movement for the forthcoming polls in Kogi State, Com.Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu has extended his heart-felt condolences to the Atta Igala and President of the Kogi State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty Alaji Mathew Opaluwa Ogwuche-akpa II, on the demise of his elder brother, Prince James Faruna Opaluwa.
It could recall that Prince Faruna Opaluwa passed away on Saturday after a brief illness.
Comrade Dirisu in a press statement described the late Opaluwa as a bridge builder, a humanist and a great man who had dedicated his life to serving God and humanity.
The NRM candidate also noted that the contributions of the late prince to the development of Kogi state and Nigeria in particular would be forever etched in the annals of Kogi history. He further noted that Kogi would no doubt miss the prince and his good works .
Comrade Dirisu prayed for the repose of the soul of the late prince while asking the Almighty God to grant His Royal Majesty, Atta Igala and the family of late Faruna the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss
Governor Bello encouraged the Atta Igala and the family of the late James to find solace in the remarkable life led by the departed, noting that he will be remembered for the cherished memories he left behind.
He offered prayers to God, seeking eternal rest for the soul of James Opaluwa, and strength for His Royal Majesty and the bereaved family to cope with the irreparable loss.
Mr James Faruna Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, a retired Programme Manager at Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), passed away at the age of 69 after a brief illness.
