Obasanjo, Atiku, Others Attend Kwankwaso’s Daughter’s Wedding In Kano
Prominent personalities including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday attended the Wedding Fatiha of the daughter of a former governor of Kano State and national leader of the Kwankwasiyya political movement, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Kwankwaso gave his daughter, Dr Aishatu Kwankwaso’s hand in marriage to Fahad, the son of Katsina-based business mogul, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal.
Also present at the wedding were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki.
The wedding which took place at the palace of the 16th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, was conducted by the Chief Imam of Kano, Prof. Sani Zahraddeen.
Other personalities who attended the wedding were a former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdul Ningi and Senator Adamu Aliero who is also a former Governor of Kebbi State.
Also, former Governor Lucky Igbinedion of Edo State, Mahamud Shinkafi, former Governor of Zamfara State, Isah Yuguda, former Governor of Bauchi State, Victor Attah, former Governor of Akwa Ibom, and Chief Achike Udenwa, former Governor of Imo State.
Also, former Senator, Dino Melaye and Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, the Chief Security Officer of the late former Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, attended the event.
The highlight of the occasion was the arrival of Obasanjo wearing a red cap, which is the symbol of the Kwankwasiyya political movement led by Kwankwaso.
