So far, the pilgrims have done many mountains already, but Mount Tabor stands out. It is unique both for its geography and the profound spiritual implications of the place. This is where the Transfiguration happened.

The climb itself was something else as pilgrims made a hazardous trip to one of the most iconic sites in the world. As the shuttle bus snakes up into the summit, the city below continues to recede almost flight like.

Then, you get to the top to the magnificent church built by the Franciscan order of the Catholic Church. The architectural wonder captured the story of the Transfiguration itself. Inside the church, proper tribute was paid to the prophets who appeared to Jesus. Praying here is so solemn not just because of this height but also because of the supernatural experience Jesus Christ saw here. His divine nature shorn brilliantly as he transfigured. Pilgrims here hope to partake in that special moment by faith.

It was in this mood that the pilgrims gathered to pray for the leadership of Taraba state. Government appointees went on their knees to become a point of contact to those back home as the pastors prayed.
