In life’s most challenging moments, the true strength of character is revealed. Today, I extend my unwavering solidarity to Arc. Darius Ishaku, CON, former governor of Taraba State, as he navigates the turbulent waters brought by the process of time. This trial is not a reflection of his leadership or integrity but a test of fate, one that he will surely overcome with the grace and dignity that have defined his years of public service.

Even before Arc. Ishaku ventured into the world of politics, he was a man of wealth, fame, and influence. His reputation was built not on politics, but on a lifetime of excellence in architecture, service, and leadership.

He came from a lineage known for its success, where everything they touched prospered by the grace of God. Arc. Ishaku could have chosen a life of comfort, living on the wealth and prestige he had already garnered. But he didn’t. Instead, he committed his life to serving the people of Taraba State, a choice that speaks volumes of his selflessness and character.

As governor, he gave every ounce of his strength for the betterment of his people, even when personal hardship knocked on his door. Just one that I can not forget amongst many, following a domestic accident that left him with broken bones, he could have stepped aside, taken time to recover, and let others bear the burden. But that was not the man Arc. Ishaku is. His sense of duty was too strong to allow him to rest while his people needed him. With a heart of steel and unwavering determination, he pushed through the pain, leading his state when many would have stepped back. This level of sacrifice is rare, and it defines the measure of his leadership.

Arc. Ishaku’s time in office was never about personal enrichment or financial gain. His concern was always for the survival and progress of his people. He stood for truth, even when the path was difficult, and refused to be swayed by the allure of easier, more popular choices. He has always been a man driven by principles, a man who carried the burden of honesty when others chose the comfort of falsehood. Someday, the world will truly understand the depths of the sacrifices he has made in the name of democracy and justice, not just for Taraba State but for the country as a whole.

I can only hope that one day, the golden book that records his trajectory will find its way to everyone. It is in that book that the facts and sacrifices Arc. Ishaku has made will be distinguished from the fictions that now cloud his name. When the world finally sees his journey through those pages, it will be impossible to ignore the depth of his dedication and the truth behind his actions.

The trials he faces now are not unexpected. In a world where falsehood can spread quickly, it is no surprise that a man of such integrity is tested. But as the saying goes, lies may soar swiftly like an aeroplane, while the truth moves slowly like a tortoise. In the end, however, the truth always prevails. It is only a matter of time before Arc. Ishaku’s unwavering commitment to justice and the people he has served so faithfully will be vindicated.

I am confident that in the face of these adversities, Arc. Darius Ishaku will remain strong, determined, and focused. His legacy is not one that can be shaken by the winds of deception. His leadership, honesty, and sacrifice will remain a shining example, untarnished by these challenges. The truth, though delayed, will emerge victorious, and his contributions to Taraba State will continue to inspire long after the storm has passed.

As someone who has had the honour of working with and by him, I can say with certainty: once a boss, always a boss. Leadership, as Arc. Ishaku has shown time and again, is not about titles or positions but about the courage to stand tall in the face of adversity, the willingness to sacrifice for the greater good, and the resilience to keep moving forward when the odds seem overwhelming.

Arc. Darius Ishaku, I A. A. Mshelia stands with you through thick and thin, come rain or shine. Your strength, faith, and legacy will endure. And the truth, as it always does, will prevail.
