Tabuwal Tells Tinubu To Stop His Ministers From Criticising Buhari

A former governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has called on President Bola Tinubu to caution his ministers and other appointees from attacking his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.

Tambuwal argued that Tinubu could not dissociate himself from the failure of Buhari’s government and should, therefore, stop lamenting about inheriting a bad economy.

Tambuwal, who is the current senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, spoke on Sunday at the PDP stakeholders’ meeting in Sokoto.

He said, “The same Tinubu government that has failed to secure Nigerians or bring development is now lamenting and disassociating itself from Buhari’s administrative failure.

“There’s no reason for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to allow his aides or ministers to be castigating and attacking past APC government under Muhammadu Buhari, which he has tremendously benefitted from as a member of the APC.

“President Tinubu should face the governance of Nigeria with serious-minded attention and not allow certain myopic tendencies in his government to destroy his good plan on securing our nation and bringing cohesion and development to our country if at all he is ready.”

Tambuwal said fixing Nigeria demanded unity and commitment from all Nigerians.

“Nobody can change our country for us. We need determination and commitment. Our party and supporters should be united,” he said.

Tambuwal commended the leadership of the PDP in Sokoto State for their sacrifice and for fostering unity in the party.

The Chairman of Sokoto PDP, Alhaji Bello Goronyo, commended Tambuwal for his financial contribution to the Sokoto PDP.

The stakeholders’ meeting was attended by the PDP leaders across the 23 local government areas of the state.
