Gov Idris Thank Zabarmawa Community For Identifying With Ideals Of His Administration
Govenor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has acknowledged the massive support to him by the Zabarmarwa Development Association, ZADA, which facilitated his victory at the 2023 Governorship polls.
Dr. Nasir Idris made the remarks this Sunday at the Presidential Lodge ,Birnin Kebbi during the Annual National Stakeholders Forum and Inauguration of ZADA executive council members at national and state levels.
He recalled that the association was the pioneer to embrace him after he declared to run for the governorship position and exhibited unwavering support that led his election.
Comrade Nasir Idris described himself as of Zabarmawa stock in body and soul with lineage from parents and grand parents.
He added that as narrated by Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Bagaye of Adamu Augie College of Education Argungu, history has shown that ,the people of Zabarma descent were the early settlers in West Africa including Nigeria with a perfect system of administration, warfare and accommodation.
Governor Idris reaffirmed commitment to the rapid development of Kebbi State in all sectors with emphasis on agriculture, healthcare services education and social wellbeing of people of the state.
He announced that his administration would procure another consignment of grains for distribution free to all communities as Ramadan Fast approaches.
Comrade Dr. Nasir urged the Zabarmawa community both within and outside the country to maintain their love,compassion and unity among all ethnic groups, assuring that he will continue to be a pragmatic leader with care attitude to all.
In a remark, the Chairman ZADA, Kebbi State, Alhaji Musa Abubakar Argungu ,explained that the objectives of the association involved importance of unity among the Zabarmawa people as well as the need to maintain peace and tranquility, to be law abiding and intensify the pursuit of education by enrolling their children into school.
In the same vein ,the State Secretary of ZADA, Alhaji Halidu Umar Makera drew the attention of the Governor that the large gathering at the Forum was a testimony for the love and support the Zabarma people have for him and his administration.
At the event ,members of the board of trustees,national and state executive council members were sworn in by the Legal Adviser of the association, Barrister Iliyasu Ibrahim Adamu.
Members of Zabarma community from all parts of Nigeria, the republic of Niger and the Republic of Benin graced the occasion which was also attended by the grand Patron Khalifa Almustapha Haliru , Sarkin Zabarmawan Gwandu ,Secretary to tbe State Government, SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida and other top government officials.
